Kingsley Moghalu, the former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, has joined the Action Democratic Congress, ADC, ahead of the 2023 Presidential Elections.

Moghalu revealed on Friday that he had joined the ADC after leaving his previous party, the YPP, in 2019. He hopes to secure the party’s nomination for President.

POLITICS NIGERIA recalls that Moghalu stated his intention to run for the nation’s top seat in the 2023 elections in June 2021.

Moghalu ran as the Young Progressive Party’s (YPP) presidential candidate in 2019, but lost to incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari.

He ended 14th in the vote count, earning 26,039 votes to Buhari’s 15.1 million.
