In Lagos two people were arrested with two dead children stuffed inside a sack.

The offenders were caught after police officers on stop-and-search duty at Jibowu, waved down a car they boarded.
The State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) of the Lagos State Police Command captured two individuals who allegedly abducted and killed two schoolchildren.

The culprits were apprehended on Monday, October 4, in Lagos’ Jibowu neighbourhood, with the youngsters, who were already dead and packed inside a sack.

The children were claimed to have been taken on their way home from school and perished before rescue arrived.

The accused were apprehended after police officers on stop-and-frisk duty at Jibowu waved down a car they were riding in.

As police officers demanded the vehicle’s legitimate documentation, the suspects got concerned, fueling their suspicion that something was wrong.

According to a senior officer, “the suspects offered the policeman an undisclosed sum as a bribe to let them go, but the officers insisted on examining the vehicle.” They noticed a sack inside the car’s booth. When they opened it, they discovered two children inside with exhausted hands and legs. Their jaws were agape.

“One of the suspects tried to flee, but he was apprehended.” Both the driver and the second occupant of the vehicle, as well as the deceased children, were brought to SCID.”

According to a police officer at SCID’s Homicide unit, the parents of the two youngsters had been notified and were at SCID on Monday to identify the children.
