Femi Adesina, the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, has slammed Senate Minority Leader Enyinnaya Abaribe for allegedly using “foul language against those in leadership.”
This was stated by Adesina in a Facebook post on Thursday night.

He claimed Abaribe should be “cooling his heels in prison” for “standing surety for someone bent on dismembering the country.”

Remember that the Senator and two others served as sureties for incarcerated Indigenous People of Biafra leader, Nnamdi Kanu, before he was granted release by the Federal High Court in Abuja on April 25, 2017.

Adesina made a veiled allusion to Abaribe in the post headed, ‘Weighty Matters About Our Country,’ writing, “Some persons encourage violence through words or acts, worsening the security challenges we face.” You’re curious where they’re from and why they’d add incendiary materials to a raging fire.

“There is one amusing Senator who talks about the mismanagement of our country’s diversity while using harsh language against those in positions of power on a daily basis.”

“He stood surety for someone set on dismembering the country, and when that one departed, when he should have been cooling his heels in prison, the Senator continues to spew nonsense.” Our diversity’s chief’mismanager.’

“And the President had these words for him and his kind, who are all over the country: “We are ready to arrest and prosecute anyone who incites violence through words or action.” Our commitment to a peaceful, unified, and one Nigeria is firm and unshakable…

“Words plant the seeds of violence in people’s minds.” The careless words of a few have resulted in the deaths of many innocent people and the ruin of property.”
